What makes a hero? What characteristics do they share, and is it possible to be more like them? In this class, we’ll look at heros from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, etc). We’ll break down their attributes, analyze what exactly makes them heroic, and learn how we can be more heroic ourselves.
This class will consist of watching short portions of films, classroom discussions, and assignments focusing on character development and self improvement. Students joining this class will learn about important heroic characteristics (courage, moral integrity, responsibility, etc). All of which translate perfectly into the real world!

This is a unique Math class that combines the excitement of escape rooms with the practical application of math skills. Students will work together in groups to solve math puzzles and problems, leading them to clues that will help them escape the room before time runs out.

Each escape room will be themed around a different mathematical concept, such as geometry, algebra, or probability. Students will apply their knowledge of these concepts to decipher clues, solve equations, and unlock the next steps in their escape. They will also develop critical thinking skills as they work collaboratively to solve complex problems under pressure.

Throughout the class, students will gain a deeper understanding of how math is used in real-world scenarios and develop their problem-solving skills. The class is designed for students who have a good foundation in basic math skills and are looking for a fun and challenging way to apply them.

By the end of the course, students will have completed several escape rooms, developed their math skills, and gained confidence in their ability to solve complex problems.

Students who enroll in this course will learn about fundamental topics such as geometric shapes, symmetry, ratios and mathematical expressions while creating visual art by drawing, coloring and painting. This class will allow students a fun and exciting way to learn fundamental concepts that will be built upon in their future. Have your student learn and have fun while using their creative side!

The Power of Sales! - Valuable Skills For Everyday Life
Grades: 4-8
$185 per semester

We’re all in sales (whether we like it or not)! Parents “sell” their kids on the idea of making their bed. A child “sells” his parents on the idea of getting a puppy. A doctor “sells” a patient on the idea of living a healthy lifestyle. We live in a world that revolves around sales - and those who develop the skills early go on to accomplish big things in life.
This course is meant to help students of all ages gain and improve valuable skills (usually associated with sales) that are EASILY transferable to everyday life! Skills such as rapport building, active listening, goal setting, objection handling, asking the right questions and many more will be developed and strengthened extensively throughout this course. This class is excellent for students with natural people skills, as well students who have an interest in developing them. This course has a foundation in sales and business, with a real-world twist!

It is a branch of mathematics that gets covered extensively in high school, and these topics are also seen again in Calculus.

What better way to get prepared for the high school level course than by participating in a class that covers all the basics! Area, volume, angles and Geometry theorems are some of the many concepts that will be covered in detail, and homework will be provided to help with student comprehension. Anyone interested in Geometry help is encouraged to join!
